Bright & Geometric Birthday Wishes with Lisa Horton Crafts Stencil Deck Vol. 2!
Hello crafting friends!
I am so excited to share my latest project as part of the Lisa Horton Crafts Design Team. If you love vibrant colors, clean geometric patterns, and playing with ink blending, this one is definitely for you!
For this "Hip Hip Hooray" birthday card, I got to play with the incredible new Stencil Deck Vol. 2. The concept of these decks is brilliant—they are compact, incredibly versatile, and perfect for building up unique patterns layer by layer.
How I Made It:
To create this colorful patchwork backdrop, I actually used 3 different stencils from the deck.
I started by masking out a diamond shape as my frame using a bright, refreshing green.
Before moving the frame, I layered a playful polka dot stencil right over it and blended a deeper tone to add instant dimension and texture.
I repeated this technique across the entire panel, shifting the stencils and switching up my color palette with a mix of bold pinks, sunny yellows, and soft teal blues from the Cloud 9 ink range.
Once the background was complete, I matted the panel onto a subtle grey cardstock layer to ground all that beautiful color, popped it onto a crisp white card base, and added that bold, graphic "Hip Hip Hooray Happy Birthday" sentiment right in the center. A few scattered pearls and gems provided the perfect final touch of shine!
I’ve also filmed a quick Reel showing exactly how easily this pattern comes together, so keep an eye on my social media channels to see it in action!
What do you think of this bright geometric look? Let me know in the comments below!
Hugs,
Natalia xx
