Moody Silhouette Card with Stencil Deck Vol. 2!
Hello crafting friends!
I’m back with another project featuring the incredible new Stencil Deck Vol. 2 from Lisa Horton Crafts. While these decks are fantastic for bold geometric patterns, they are also amazing for creating deeply atmospheric, layered scenery!
For this card, I wanted to step away from bright geometric blocks and create a moody, magical twilight sky filled with texture.
How I Made It?
Instead of a stark layout, I used the stencils to build soft, organic movement across the sky. I blended a rich, nighttime palette using deep blues, purples, and teals from the Cloud 9 Matt Blending Inks. Using the wavy, swirling stencils from Deck 2, I layered the colors to mimic moving clouds and cosmic wind, adding water droplets for a beautiful textured, starry effect. Once the background was perfectly blended, I silhouetted the birds sitting on the wires and stamped the beautiful, crisp white "Kind" definition sentiment into the sky. A few fine black splatters and a deep blue matting layer finished off this peaceful evening scene perfectly.
The launch is happening this Friday, and I hope this shows you just how versatile this deck truly is! Make sure to head over to my Instagram or TikTok to see the full step-by-step blending process in my latest Reel.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and let me know what you think of this atmospheric sky scene in the comments!
Hugs,
Natalia xx
