Festive Match Book Boxes – Paula Creates Inspiration

Festive Match Book Boxes – Paula Creates Inspiration

 Hello my crafty friends,

Today I’m sharing a cosy festive project made with the Paula Creates Match Book Box Die Set. This die is perfect for creating little gift boxes, mini keepsakes, or decorative sets for the holiday season.

For my design, I used warm Christmas tones - deep reds, soft neutrals, and embossed floral textures. The boxes are arranged together in a holder decorated with the “with” sentiment, finished off with a bright red ribbon for that cheerful festive touch.

It’s such a fun make - ideal for small treats or handmade gifts. ✨ Paula will be on Shop Unlimited this Wednesday, 14th October at 11am with her brand‑new Book Bound items - don’t miss the show!

Crafty hugs, Natalia

Vintage Shadow Box Featuring Paula Create's New Dies Launch!

Vintage Shadow Box Featuring Paula Create's New Dies Launch!

 Hello craft lovers!

I am so excited to share my latest mixed media project with you today. This shadow box is full of vintage charm, deep textures, and rich storybook details. I built this piece using the brand-new Matchbox and Book dies from Paula Create, which are officially launching tonight during Friday Night Live (FNL) at 6:30 PM!

To create this project, I layered several small matchboxes and decorative book elements inside a deep frame to create an intricate 3D composition. I played with warm metallic tones, rust effects, aged gold accents, and deep turquoise highlights to give each compartment its own personality. Inside the tiny compartments, you will spot sweet embellishments like a small owl figure, vintage bulbs, miniature books with Ex Libris tags, and inspirational sentiment plaques like Books Are Magic.

Every single layer was distressed and detailed using inks and gilding powders to add that perfect time-worn look. These new Matchbox and Book Bound dies are amazingly versatile, whether you want to build a full shadow box display like mine, create interactive journal elements, or craft unique mini gifts.

Make sure to tune in to Friday Night Live tonight at 6:30 PM to catch the launch and see all the incredible inspiration from the team!

Which little compartment in this shadow box is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!

Hugs, Natalia

Lilac Euphoria collection from 3Quarter Designs: A Gift of Art in a Wooden Box

Lilac Euphoria collection from 3Quarter Designs: A Gift of Art in a Wooden Box

Hello, dear crafters!

I’m thrilled to share my latest creation using the stunning Lilac Euphoria collection from 3Quarter Designs. This time, I decided to create something a bit special: a card presented in a wooden box, perfect for an unforgettable gift.

The Lilac Euphoria papers are absolutely dreamy! The soft purples, delicate floral patterns, and vintage elements provide endless inspiration. I incorporated these papers into a layered design that features a serene and elegant atmosphere, enhanced by fussy-cut elements like flowers, a charming rabbit, and an ethereal female portrait. The box and card together tell a story of beauty, freedom, and growth.

Key Design Elements

  1. The Wooden Box: I painted the box’s interior and exterior to complement the Lilac Euphoria palette. Inside, I added the sentiment, "Grow your dreams like flowers," to create a meaningful touch.

  2. The Card: The centerpiece of the card is a beautiful layered arrangement featuring a mix of textures and dimensions. The word "Freedom" at the top, paired with the phrase "This beautiful life," perfectly encapsulates the essence of the design.

  3. Extra Details: Using subtle patterns and complementary tones, I layered the papers to add depth and elegance. Adding tiny banners and botanical details brought a whimsical charm to the project.

The Lilac Euphoria collection makes it so easy to create something magical. Its soft and versatile designs are perfect for many occasions, from birthdays to keepsake gifts. The paper quality is excellent for layering and mixed media techniques.

This project was a joy to create, and I hope it inspires you to experiment with unique designs like this wooden box card. A little creativity, combined with gorgeous materials, can make a simple project truly extraordinary.

What are you currently working on? Let me know in the comments below—I’d love to hear your ideas! 💜

Happy crafting,
Natalia

Festive Wooden Box Decor with Polkadoodles Papers

Festive Wooden Box Decor with Polkadoodles Papers

Hello, everyone!

Today, I’m excited to share my latest Christmas project with you—a decorated wooden box that radiates the warm spirit of the holidays. Using the beautiful papers from Polkadoodles, I crafted this festive piece, perfect for adding a touch of holiday cheer to any room.

For this project, I started with a plain wooden box and covered it with a selection of Polkadoodles’ Christmas-themed papers. The focal points are, of course, the charming images of Santa and traditional holiday motifs like poinsettias and holly leaves, all carefully cut out from the papers. I layered these elements to create depth, making Santa and the decorations almost pop out of the scene!

The left side of the box features a seasonal greeting card, decorated with a mix of red, green, and snowy patterns that bring out the classic Christmas colors. The right side presents a cozy scene with Santa, ornaments, and stockings—a small, festive world inside the box.

This box would make a wonderful gift or decorative piece, spreading the joy and peace of Christmas. I hope it brings as much warmth to you as it did to me while creating it!

Happy crafting, and thank you for stopping by!

Hey there,

I'm excited to be back to share a special project with you today. I've recently put together a wedding card using an array of stunning papers from 3Quarter Designs. Crafting cards is a passion of mine, and I particularly enjoy adding layers and dimensions to create something truly unique. As always, I've crafted a matching box to store and present the card elegantly.

What's your preferred style when it comes to card-making? Do you enjoy intricate designs with lots of details, or do you lean towards simpler, flat cards that slip neatly into envelopes? I would love to see your creations and ideas for cards, so please feel free to share them!

I look forward to your inspirations!
