Handmade Christmas Bauble Card with Polkadoodles Crafts Sparkling Christmas Collection

 Hello everyone!

Today I am excited to share a festive handmade Christmas card created using the Sparkling Christmas Collection from Polkadoodles Crafts.

To build this card, I started by ink blending each paper element to bring rich dimension and vibrant color to the project. I blended soft pink and coral tones onto the poinsettia flower layers, shaping them carefully to build a dramatic three dimensional focal point. I used lush green inks on the foliage, pine branches, and holly leaves to create natural depth around the ornament frame. Deep red hues were added to the berries and accent pieces, which I finished with tiny liquid drops for extra shine. Finally, I stamped Merry Christmas in the center of a circular wooden ornament frame, tied it with a golden hanging cord, and set it over an ink splattered watercolor background.

Perfectly Imperfect – Colourful Blooms with Polkadoodles

 Hello my crafty friends,

Today I’m sharing another card made with the brand‑new Polkadoodles collection — full of colour, texture and positive vibes! For this design, I used the Lucky Dotty Flower Dies together with the Chicken Wire Texture Sheets (MDF) to create a vibrant, dimensional background.

The flowers are die‑cut and ink‑blended in cheerful rainbow tones - pinks, turquoise, yellows and purples - layered to add depth and movement. The textured MDF panel behind them gives a lovely rustic contrast to the soft petals.

I finished the card with a small sentiment strip “You’re perfectly imperfect” - because handmade art is all about embracing uniqueness and joy.

This project was pure fun to make - bright, bold and perfectly imperfect!

The World Needs More Colour – Lucky Dotty Blooms

 Hello my crafty friends,

Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful card made with the brand‑new Polkadoodles collection! For this design, I used the Lucky Dotty Flower Dies together with the Leafy Flourish Circle Wreath Die - such a perfect combo for creating layered floral compositions full of movement and texture.

The background is softly blended in warm ombre tones from yellow to pink, finished with a subtle heart stencil pattern that adds a lovely touch of whimsy. I built the floral cluster using die‑cut petals shaded with inks and pencils, adding dimension and depth to each bloom. The leafy wreath frames the flowers beautifully, giving the whole design a natural, balanced look.

To finish, I added a small sentiment strip - “the world needs more people like you in it” - because this card is all about spreading kindness and colour.

It’s one of those makes that instantly lifts your mood - bright, happy and full of love.

Rethinking Festive Shades: Autumn Foliage Thank You Card

 Hi everyone!

As autumn slowly approaches, I find myself reaching for rich, warm, and metallic shades that capture the magic of the changing season. Today, I want to share a project that explores how a surprisingly traditional palette can completely change its mood depending on how you use it.

When we think of gold, deep green, and red, our minds almost instantly jump to Christmas and holiday projects. But who says these iconic colours are strictly reserved for December? For this project, I decided to play with the brand-new Colour Combo of the Month using Lisa Horton Crafts Cloud 9 Metallic Inks, and I absolutely love how beautifully these festive tones transition into a lush, sophisticated autumn palette!

To bring this colour palette to life, I worked with the stunning Larkspur Foliage craft metal dies from Lisa Horton Crafts. Building layered greenery and foliage is one of my favorite techniques because it allows the metallic finishes to shimmer from every angle. By blending the rich greens, warm golds, and deep coppers, the leaves gain an incredible sense of depth and dimension.

Placing these vibrant, shimmering botanical elements against a dark, contrasting background really makes the golden and red tones pop, giving the entire composition a dramatic yet cozy fall atmosphere. Finishing the card with a dimensional "Thank You" sentiment nestled right in the center makes it a perfect creation for sending warm seasonal gratitude to someone special.

Experimenting with colour combinations and stepping outside typical seasonal rules is always so inspiring. A palette that seems purely festive at first glance can easily become the star of your autumn cardmaking!

Hello Autumn! Cute Bunny Autumn Card Inspiration for Polkadoodles

 Hello everyone!

Autumn is officially in the air, and it is time to embrace crisp leaves, cozy scarves, and warm color palettes. Today, I am excited to share a brand-new handmade card I created for the Polkadoodles Design Team using the super sweet "Hello Autumn" collection.

For this project, I colored the adorable bunny sweeping up colorful autumn leaves using colored pencils to bring out soft shading and vibrant tones. I framed the main focal piece using layered scalloped die-cuts and added extra depth with mini garden tools - a shovel and a rake - and a charming little birdhouse on the side from the other collection.

The sentiment "Hello Autumn" tops off the card, framed in rich burgundy and soft blue layers to complement the fall theme.

Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful shaker card created with the Stencil Deck 2 from Lisa Horton Crafts. I blended a rainbow of inks from cool blues through sunny yellows to warm reds, using the stencil to build a crisp geometric background.

In the centre, I added a shaker window filled with yellow sequins and a simple sentiment - Pretty Awesome. The movement and sparkle make this card feel joyful and full of life!

It’s one of those projects that remind me how colour can lift your mood and turn a simple design into something truly special.

Magical Autumn Brew with Polkadoodles Crafts & Stencil Butter Gold!

 Hello crafty friends!

Autumn is officially in the air, and that means it’s time for cozy colors, spooky vibes, and a little bit of magic! Today, I’m sharing a project featuring a sweet new release stamp from Polkadoodles Crafts.

For this card, I wanted to focus on vibrant coloring and a magical, glowing background to surround this adorable little witch stirring her bubbly cauldron. I colored the main image using colored pencils to bring out all the soft shading, rich blues, purples, and rich autumn tones. To create that eye-catching background, I used the Candy Swirl Christmas Holiday Stencil. I first blended soft purple inks through the stencil to set the base design, and then layered over it using Gold Stencil Butter to give those swirling rays a gorgeous, shiny metallic texture! I layered the focal panel onto a purple mat and added a framed sentiment tag with "Hocus Pocus" in the top left corner.

Ink Blending with Jasmine Vine 3D Embossing Folder & Cloud 9 Inks

 Hello crafting friends!

Today I am excited to share a stunning floral background panel created for the Lisa Horton Crafts Design Team. For this project, I worked with the intricate Jasmine Vine 3D Embossing Folder combined with matching layering stencils and Cloud 9 Matt Blending Inks (inspired by William Morris).

The depth and texture you can achieve by combining a 3D embossing folder with precise ink blending are truly amazing. By layering soft hues of blue, purple, soft green, and warm peachy-orange, every raised leaf and petal pops with dimension.

• Lisa Horton Crafts – Cloud 9 Matt Blending Inks (William Morris collection)

Step-by-Step Overview:

 I started by applying soft blue Cloud 9 ink directly onto the smooth inside face of the Jasmine Vine 3D embossing folder before running it through the die-cutting machine. This immediately gave the recessed background a soft, solid color while keeping the raised areas crisp and white. Using the matching stencils, I systematically blended soft green through the leaves, muted purple across the foliage accents, and a warm peach shade onto the tiny flower clusters. The result is a vibrant, wallpaper-style background panel ready to be used as a focal element or base for a handmade card!

Brand New Release: "Hello Autumn" Digi Stamps by Polkadoodles!

 Hello craft friends!

Autumn is just around the corner, and that means it's time for cozy colors, sweater weather, and pumpkin-everything! I am so excited to share my latest Design Team project featuring the brand-new "Hello Autumn" Digital Stamp Release from Polkadoodles!

If you love cute, whimsical characters as much as I do, this collection is going to completely steal your heart.

Before assembling my finished cards, I spent a wonderful afternoon bringing these digital stamps to life with color. The collection is packed with delightful autumn and Halloween-themed illustrations, including:

• A sweet little fox sitting atop a carved jack-o'-lantern

• A magical hedgehog witch stirring a bubbling potion cauldron

• An industrious bunny sweeping up colorful falling leaves

• A cozy squirrel and bear enjoying acorns and sweet corn

• An adorable pumpkin carriage ride and so much more!

I had so much fun choosing bright, vibrant color palettes - mixing rich autumn oranges and deep greens with festive purples and blues. Coloring these digital stamps is always such a relaxing process, and having them prepped in advance makes assembling cards so quick and enjoyable!

 Hello my lovely crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a bright and happy card made with the adorable Hoppy Birthday Clear Craft Stamps and the Cloudy Landscape Craft Stencil from Polkadoodles.

I created a soft, dreamy background using the stencil - blending pinks, yellows and oranges for a cheerful sunrise effect. Then I added two cute little sheep from the stamp set, coloured with alcohol markers and framed with stitched die‑cut windows. The sentiment “You’re Ewe‑nique” finishes it perfectly - playful and heart‑warming at the same time.

Sunshine & Teal Floral Inspiration | Perfect Posie Cardmaking Tutorial

 Hi everyone!

I’m back today with a bright, sunny card project featuring the lovely Perfect Posie collection and the Perfect Posie Trellis Die Set from Lisa Horton Crafts.

This design focuses on warm yellow and orange floral tones paired with soft teal ink blending and a textured trellis background.

Here is a breakdown of the creation process:

Background Blending & Trellis Texture: I blended soft teal ink along the outer edges of a watercolor panel, keeping the center light. To build background texture, I blended yellow inks (Juicy Pineapple and Early Sunrise Cloud 9 inks) onto cardstock, spritzed it with water for droplets, and die-cut it using the Perfect Posie Trellis Die Set. I then mounted the small square pieces onto the main card panel using foam pads for a unique mosaic feel.

Floral Focal Point: The Perfect Posie floral cluster was layered with warm yellow, orange, and teal inks. I raised the focal image using 3D foam pads to give it strong dimension against the trellis background.

Finishing Touches: I added fine color splatters, a crisp black-and-white "hello" sentiment banner, and a scatter of metallic gold pearls for a bit of shine.
