A Vintage Little Note with Warm Textured Layers

 Hello Crafters,

Today I’m sharing a soft, vintage‑inspired card created with the Just a Little Note clear stamps & dies bundle from Polkadoodles. I built the background using Distress Oxide inks, keeping the colours warm and slightly distressed to match the nostalgic feel of the typewriter.

The typewriter itself is coloured with alcohol markers, which gives it a lovely depth and contrast against the textured Oxide background. I love how the florals coming out of the typewriter add a gentle, uplifting touch - it feels like a little message of kindness blooming right off the page.

A Sunny Giraffe Card with Layered Mixed‑Media Details

A Sunny Giraffe Card with Layered Mixed‑Media Details

 Hello everyone!

Today I’m sharing a fun and cheerful card featuring the adorable Having a Giraffe stamp set from Polkadoodles. I paired it with the Fluffy Clouds Duo stencil to build a soft, dreamy background, and I also reached for one of my old favourites - the Soup stamp from an older collection. I haven’t used it in ages, but I still absolutely love it. It’s perfect for adding texture, movement and those little mixed‑media touches that make a background come alive.

The whole scene is coloured with Distress Oxide inks in warm, sunny tones. The giraffe is the star of the show, surrounded by playful details and pops of colour. It’s one of those makes that instantly lifts your mood - simple, happy and full of character.

If you enjoy mixing newer releases with older gems, this combo works beautifully. The Soup stamp really shines here and proves it’s still a fantastic background builder.

Playing with the Goldfish Bowl 3‑Layering Stencils

Playing with the Goldfish Bowl 3‑Layering Stencils

 Hello everyone!

Did you catch the Goldfish Bowl 3‑Layering Stencils on Friday’s HobbyMaker show? If you did, you already know how cool they are - and if not, here’s a closer look at what you missed!

For today’s card I used the Goldfish Bowl - 3 Layering Stencils, and I went for a little shadow‑box style twist. One of the stencil layers, the aquarium edge, is applied onto clear acetate, which gives the whole piece that fun, dimensional “glass bowl” effect.

To finish the scene, I added the sweet little pup from the Woof You Dog Puppy stamp set. It’s such a cute combo - the dog, the fishbowls, the bright colours - and the layering stencil makes the background come alive without any effort.

If you loved the look of this stencil on the show, trust me… it’s even more fun to use in real life. Natalia x

Spring Showers Bunny – Cute Stamped Card for Spring

 Hello my crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a soft and cheerful spring card created with the Spring Showers clear craft stamps and the Tiny Toadstools stencil from Polkadoodles.

I started by stamping the sweet bunny scene and colouring everything with alcohol markers. I love how vibrant and smooth the colours look - especially on all the little details like the flowers, butterflies and Easter eggs.

For the background, I used the Tiny Toadstools stencil with Distress Oxide inks, keeping the colours light and pastel to match the soft spring vibe. The Oxides blend beautifully and add just the right amount of texture without overpowering the stamped image.

To finish the card, I added a simple sentiment strip and kept the layout clean so the illustration stays the star of the show.

A Cute Spring Scene with Spring Showers Stamps

 Hello crafters!

I’m back with another springtime project following Wednesday’s Polkadoodles show on HobbyMaker TV. Since we revisited some earlier releases during the show, I wanted to continue the theme and share a fresh inspiration using one of my favourite sets - the Spring Showers Clear Craft Stamps.

For today’s card, I created a soft, colourful background using the Cloudy Landscape stencil, blending Distress Oxide inks to build a dreamy spring sky. All stamped images were coloured with alcohol markers, which gave them a bright, cheerful look and helped the characters pop against the pastel background.

The combination of cute critters, raindrops, clouds and playful sentiments makes this set perfect for birthday cards, spring greetings or just‑because projects. I love how the scene came together - light, happy and full of that sweet Polkadoodles charm.

 Hello my lovely creative friends,

I hope you’re having a colourful and inspiring day. Today I’m reaching back to one of my earlier makes - a card that has never been shared on the blog before, even though it’s been waiting patiently in my stash for quite a while. I’m really happy to finally bring it to the spotlight.

For this card, I used an illustration from the Prism Alcohol Markers Workbook – Vol. 1 by Hunkydory. It’s such a fun workbook to practise colouring techniques and simply enjoy the process without overthinking.

I coloured the image using the Prism Alcohol Markers Deluxe Collection. I love how smoothly these markers blend and how vibrant the colours look on the page. They brought the whole scene to life and gave it that joyful, dynamic feel I was aiming for.

It’s a dreamy little card featuring a curious mouse peeking out from its cozy hideaway. The background is a blend of Distress Oxide inks in soft purples, blues, and greens, with a touch of splattered black for texture. Fave Person & Textured Fun: Mixed Media Tag with Polkadoodles

Fave Person & Textured Fun: Mixed Media Tag with Polkadoodles

 Hello lovely crafters!

I’m so excited to share my latest mixed media project: a vibrant tag featuring one of my favorite Polkadoodles characters! This project is all about embracing bold color, deep texture, and a sense of playful fun.

This time, I started with a sturdy tag base and went to town creating a complex background. I used various Polkadoodles stencils and stamps to build up layers of texture and pattern. The background is a mix of rich, bright inks and maybe some structural paste, blending greens, blues, oranges, and yellows to create a fantastic, aged, and chaotic canvas for the main image.

The star of the tag is, of course, the charming Polkadoodles doll stamp. I colored her using vibrant tones to match the lively background.

The sentiments, "YOU'RE MY FAVE PERSON. SOMETIMES" and "LET'S DO SOME STUPID STUFF TOGETHER," add a wonderful dose of humor and personality, making this tag perfect for your best friend or favorite mischief-maker!

This tag really shows how versatile Polkadoodles stamps and stencils are for heavy mixed media work. It's a joyful riot of color and fun!

I hope this bright and bold project inspires you to get messy with your inks and pastes!

Happy Crafting!

To a Top Lad: Simple Style with Hunkydory's Prism Collection

Hello everyone!

Sometimes less is definitely more! Today I'm sharing a sweet and simple slimline card created using the Hunkydory family of products, perfect for that special 'top lad' in your life.

This card is all about keeping the design clean and focusing on the vibrant coloring and charming motifs. I used the fantastic Just For Him Clear Stamps set, featuring those fun sweaters and balloons.

The Magic of Prism Products

To bring this card to life, I relied on the exceptional quality of the Prism range:
  • Prism Ink Pads provided a quick and subtle wash of color for the background, creating a light, airy base that complements the overall simple style.
  • Prism Alcohol Markers made the coloring of the stamped images a breeze! I chose bright, cheerful colors for the sweaters, and the markers blended beautifully, adding smooth shading without unnecessary effort.

This is a great example of how simple stamping and effective coloring can create a meaningful, handmade card without needing complicated techniques or multiple layers.

I hope this simple, cheerful design inspires you!

A Cozy Christmas Night

A Cozy Christmas Night

 Hi everyone!

I'm back with another delightful festive card project today! I love creating cozy scenes, and this card perfectly captures the charm of a snowy Christmas evening. Featuring the adorable characters and scenes from the Cozy Christmas Collection by Polkadoodles Crafts, this design has all the best parts of winter: snowy rooftops, a bright night sky, and a very cheerful snowman!

This card uses several stamps and coordinating dies from the Cozy Christmas Collection (link products below the post) to build a wonderful dimensional scene. The stamps and dies from the collection were used to create the whimsical little houses, the snowy pine tree, the cute birdhouse, and, of course, the star of the show: the bundled-up snowman! I carefully layered these elements to give the card a fantastic depth, with the little houses tucked behind a frosty window frame and the snowman popping into the foreground.

The entire scene, from the textured houses to the playful snowman, was colored completely with alcohol markers. Using alcohol markers allowed me to achieve that rich saturation and smooth blending, giving the snowman and houses vibrant, cartoon-like colors. I especially focused on blending the colors on the snowman and using deep blues and purples to create that snowy night sky effect. The final touch of white paint splatters on the blue background helps mimic a gentle snowfall!

The sentiment, "HAPPY CHRISTMAS," is placed on a bold blue banner, perfectly complementing the night sky and tying the whole cozy scene together.

I hope this card inspires you to keep enjoying your holiday crafting! What’s your favourite image from the Polkadoodles Cozy Christmas collection? Let me know in the comments!

A Sky Full of Stars and Cake – Happy Birthday card

A Sky Full of Stars and Cake – Happy Birthday card

 Hi everyone!

I'm excited to share a bright and cheerful birthday card I’ve just finished! I wanted to create a sweet, festive design, and what's more celebratory than cake and stars? This project relies on a fantastic combination of texture and rich coloring, all made possible by great supplies from Hunkydory Crafts.

The whole card is built around a lovely, calming color palette of soft blue and white. The background is completely covered in a fun, dimensional star pattern, which gives the card a great tactile quality.

The center focus, of course, is the birthday cake! This colorful image was actually cut and colored directly from the Prism Alcohol Markers Workbook - Vol. 1, making it an incredibly easy focal point to use!

The detail and smooth blending on the cake were achieved using the superb Prism Alcohol Markers.

  • I used a selection of pens from the Prism Alcohol Markers - Deluxe Collection for the vibrant blues, greens, and yellows on the cake, candles, and plate.

  • Coloring the pre-printed image from the workbook is a perfect way to practice blending and create a ready-to-use centerpiece!

For the beautiful, dimensional background, I used the Moonstone Embossing Folders - Stars. The way the stars pop out is so charming and adds a perfect layer of festivity without being too overwhelming.

The small, classic black and white sentiment, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," grounds the design and completes the look.

I hope this star-filled birthday card inspires your next project! Do you have a favorite Hunkydory Embossing Folder? Let me know in the comments below!
