Winter Handmade Cards Using Mysterious Winter Papers – Craft&You Design

Winter Handmade Cards Using Mysterious Winter Papers – Craft&You Design

 Hello friends!

Winter always brings a special kind of magic to the craft table, and this time I let the Mysterious Winter collection from Craft&You Design lead the way. I created two cards using only this paper collection - no dies, no extra embellishments, just the beauty hidden in the designs themselves.

Each card has its own mood. One is soft and frosty, with gentle blues and snowy whites, featuring a peaceful deer in a winter forest. The other leans into warmer, vintage tones, with foxes nestled among berries and leaves. I love how both cards tell their own quiet story, even though they come from the same collection.

Sometimes it’s refreshing to work with limited supplies - it pushes you to look closer, layer differently, and let the papers do the talking. This collection made it easy to create something detailed and atmospheric without reaching for anything else.

I’ll add product links below so you can explore the collection yourself.

My Winter Tag

My Winter Tag

 Hello, crafters!

Today, I’d like to share with you my newest winter project – a tag created on a sturdy transparent film base. This unique design combines frosty elements and warm details to capture the essence of winter’s beauty.

I used the beautiful Paint Over the Winter papers by Craft&You Design as the main focus. To add dimension and interest, I incorporated die cuts and stencils from the same brand. The delicate star pattern was created using gesso, while the flowers and leaves were brought to life with Distress Oxide inks.

The focal point of the tag is the adorable owl surrounded by soft greenery and blooms, adding charm and elegance. The transparent base gives the design a light, airy effect, perfect for a winter-themed creation.

What do you think about this frosty little tag?

Thank you for stopping by, and happy crafting!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! - winter card

It's the most wonderful time of the year! - winter card

Hello All,

This cheerful card features adorable penguins brought to life using the Hello Theo Penguin printable digital stamp by Polkadoodles. The playful winter scene was created using the Candy Swirl Christmas Holiday Stencil for the dynamic background, paired with delicate snowflakes for an extra touch of holiday magic.

The penguins were colored with alcohol markers, adding dimension and personality to each one. The background, with its vibrant blue hues, was blended using Distress Inks, creating a fun and frosty vibe. I love how the layers and textures come together to celebrate the joy of winter.

What do you think of this playful design? Let me know in the comments!

A Cozy Christmas Card: Earmuffs Theo Penguin from Polkadoodles

A Cozy Christmas Card: Earmuffs Theo Penguin from Polkadoodles

Hello everyone!

Today, I’m excited to share one of my latest creations using the Earmuffs Theo Penguin printable digital stamp by Polkadoodles. This festive card is perfect for spreading holiday cheer, with its vibrant colors and wintry feel.

Materials used:
Stamp: Earmuffs Theo Penguin - Printable Digital Stamp (Polkadoodles)
Background: Distress Inks
Snow effect: Gesso and Snowfall A5 Stencil (Polkadoodles)
Sentiment: “Merry Christmas”

To create the frosty, magical winter background, I blended a mix of blue Distress Inks. The gradient effect gives depth, mimicking a chilly sky. I added falling snow with the Snowfall A5 Stencil, lightly applying gesso to achieve a textured look. The gesso also highlights the icy edge on the platform where Theo stands.

After printing the Earmuffs Theo Penguin digital stamp, I colored it with alcohol markers to bring Theo to life. The cute earmuffs and scarf add such a warm, cozy touch! I fussy cut the penguin and mounted it on foam pads for a 3D effect. Finally, I added the “Merry Christmas” sentiment to complete the design.

I hope this card inspires you to create your own Christmas projects! Feel free to let me know what you think or share your creations using Polkadoodles products.

Happy crafting!

Winter Wonderland with Craft&You Design’s Paint over the Winter Collection

Winter Wonderland with Craft&You Design’s Paint over the Winter Collection

 Hello,

I’m excited to share this layout I created using the Paint over the Winter collection by Craft&You Design. This collection's delicate blues and frosty details beautifully capture the peaceful magic of winter.

For this piece, I used layers of wintery papers and embellishments, including intricate snowflakes and soft florals, to frame the enchanting scene of a girl with a deer. The image feels like a gentle winter dream, and I wanted to enhance that feeling with subtle textures and natural elements. I finished it off with the word "Dream," adding a soft touch of wonder to the piece.

Craft&You Design’s Paint over the Winter collection brings out the serene, dreamlike beauty of the winter season—perfect for any project that calls for a touch of magic and tranquility.

Hope this inspires you to create your own winter dreams!
