A Sky Full of Stars and Cake – Happy Birthday card

 Hi everyone!

I'm excited to share a bright and cheerful birthday card I’ve just finished! I wanted to create a sweet, festive design, and what's more celebratory than cake and stars? This project relies on a fantastic combination of texture and rich coloring, all made possible by great supplies from Hunkydory Crafts.

The whole card is built around a lovely, calming color palette of soft blue and white. The background is completely covered in a fun, dimensional star pattern, which gives the card a great tactile quality.

The center focus, of course, is the birthday cake! This colorful image was actually cut and colored directly from the Prism Alcohol Markers Workbook - Vol. 1, making it an incredibly easy focal point to use!

The detail and smooth blending on the cake were achieved using the superb Prism Alcohol Markers.

• I used a selection of pens from the Prism Alcohol Markers - Deluxe Collection for the vibrant blues, greens, and yellows on the cake, candles, and plate.

• Coloring the pre-printed image from the workbook is a perfect way to practice blending and create a ready-to-use centerpiece!

For the beautiful, dimensional background, I used the Moonstone Embossing Folders - Stars. The way the stars pop out is so charming and adds a perfect layer of festivity without being too overwhelming.

The small, classic black and white sentiment, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," grounds the design and completes the look.
