"Story" – My First Inspiration as a Guest Designer for ABstudio

Hello everyone!  

I’m beyond excited to share my first project as a guest designer for ABstudio! It’s such an honor to work with their stunning products and channel my creativity into something special.

I used the Rustical Time paper collection from ABstudio as the foundation for this piece. The beauty of this particular sheet speaks for itself—it’s so rich and detailed that it hardly needs any additional splatters or mixed media touches. It created the perfect backdrop all on its own.

To bring dimension and character to the design, I layered a selection of die-cuts and a decorative frame made from sturdy cardstock, all from ABstudio’s collection. Each element, from the intricate patterns to the delicate details, adds depth and a storytelling element to the composition.

The quote I chose, “The only impossible journey is the one you never begin” by Tony Robbins, perfectly reflects this project. It’s a reminder that every creative journey starts with a single step—and this one is particularly meaningful to me as a guest designer.

The final touches—featuring layered tags, soft floral accents, and the striking bird centerpiece—create a harmonious blend of textures and details. Together, they bring this story to life in a way that feels organic and true to the materials.
