A Window to Creativity
Hello, dear creative souls!
Today, I’m excited to share a new mixed-media project featuring the beautiful Pretty Shutter Window die from Polkadoodles' latest collection. The moment I saw this die, I knew it would be perfect for creating a cozy, rustic scene full of texture and depth.
For the background, I used Distress Oxide inks along with the Brick/Stone/Wall stencil to add dimension and a weathered effect. I love how these inks blend effortlessly, creating a vintage, slightly worn-out look that perfectly complements the window frame. To bring the scene to life, I added delicate die-cut foliage and tiny handcrafted flowers, making it feel as if nature is peeking through the shutters.
There’s something so magical about windows—they hold stories, glimpses of life, and a sense of nostalgia. I hope this project inspires you to create your own little window into imagination!
What do you think? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
