Cheers – a little card full of colour and gratitude
Hello again!
I’ve been reaching for the Layering Scalloped Florals masks quite often lately — and it’s easy to see why. This pattern just speaks to me. There’s something about the delicate shapes and symmetry that works beautifully with bold colours and clean finishes.
This time, I wanted to mix textures. The dark blue background is actually a colourful cardstock with dry-embossed dots, which gives a subtle but playful touch. For the centre panel, I used white embossing powder through the stencil onto white cardstock. Once that was heat set, I brought it to life with a blend of Prism Inks — starting with turquoise, blending into violet and finishing with a punch of pink. The contrast with the white embossing really made the design pop!
To finish, I added a chunky die-cut “CHEERS” and a smaller sentiment — for everything — which feels simple but heartfelt. Sometimes that’s all we want to say, right?
