Christmas in Summer – Card 9: Festive Forest Robin
Hello creative friends!
Here’s Card 9 from my “Christmas in Summer” series, made for Hunkydory using one of their lovely robin stamps from For the Love of Stamps.
Although we’re in the middle of summer, this card takes us straight to a festive woodland full of warmth, colour, and cosy Christmas spirit.
The star of the card is a beautifully inked red robin, stamped and coloured in deep reds and browns. The background was created using blended inks to give a soft, earthy tone. Embellishments include die-cut pine branches, holly, cinnamon sticks, anise stars, and berries - bringing in texture and even scent. The “Festive Wishes” sentiment finishes the design with a classic Christmas touch.
Tip: Adding real spices like cinnamon or anise makes your handmade cards not only beautiful but also wonderfully fragrant - a true sensory surprise for the recipient!
