Creating Frosty Dimension: My New Vintage Christmas Card Tutorial is Live!

Hi everyone, and welcome back to my blog!

I am absolutely thrilled to share my latest Christmas project with you: the 'Holiday Wishes' card! This design is one I truly loved creating, as it combines my favorite elements: deep, rich colors and incredible layered texture.

For this A6-sized card, I was inspired by the cozy, yet slightly aged beauty of a traditional Christmas. I focused on building up a subtle, frosty depth—which I achieved using a blend of cool green Distress Oxide inks and a touch of White Gesso for that amazing texture.

The central design features some gorgeous elements from Craft & You Design: the layered Pine Wreath and the elegant Clock die, perfectly accented by the little Candy Canes. Each element contributes to that wonderful, vintage dimension!

If you've been looking for a tutorial on how to combine stenciling for background texture (like the delicate Snowflakes 2 Stencil) with intricate die-cutting and coloring, this video is for you! I walk you through my entire process, showing you how to:

Build deep, layered color with Distress Oxides.
Apply Gesso for that frosty, non-obvious texture.
Assemble a complex die-cut composition for maximum dimension.

I hope this project sparks your creativity and inspires you to use some of your favorite dies and stencils this holiday season!

As always, I'll make sure to list all the specific products I used from Craft & You Design (stencils SC012, dies CW383, CW369, CW381) in the video description box.

Happy crafting!
