Day 3: Misty Forest Morning – 52 Days of Stencil Deck

 Hello crafty firnds,

We are on Day 3 of the challenge, and I think I’ve found my favorite project so far! This "Blind Pick" journey with Lisa Horton Crafts is proving that sometimes, the best ideas come from total chance.

Today, I pulled an elegant leaf stencil from the deck. While it’s a simple botanical design, I wanted to use it in a way that felt "magical."

Instead of a traditional green forest, I went for a moody, galaxy-inspired background. I layered deep blues, purples, and pinks from the Cloud 9 Ink collection. The leaf stencil was used to create subtle, glowing textures in the background, almost like moonlight hitting foliage in an enchanted garden.

The focal point is that vibrant, neon-style butterfly. The contrast between the dark, stenciled background and the bright pops of color really makes the whole card "glow." I finished it with the sentiment "Have a Magical Day" because that’s exactly how this process felt!

It is so refreshing to let the stencil dictate the mood. Stay tuned for Day 4!
