Day 8: Vibrant Card and the Joy of Creating

Hello Everyone! 

The journey to catch up on the 52 Days of Stencils challenge continues! For Day 8, the random draw gave me a lovely floral-style pattern that was just begging for a burst of color. I pulled a stencil that reminded me of flower petals or sunbeams. 

I started by creating a messy, watercolor-style base on a tag using an ink smooshing technique with my Cloud 9 Inks. I wanted a mix of pinks, yellows, and blues to blend and overlap. Once dry, I applied white embossing powder through the stencil. The contrast between the bright background and the crisp white pattern is so satisfying!

I finished the card with a "So Happy" sentiment and a simple frame. Sometimes the most straightforward techniques are the ones that bring the most joy. This project is a reminder that it doesn't matter if you're "behind" - what matters is that you're creating and having fun with it.
