Christmas in Summer – Card 1: Rainbow Beginnings

Hello everyone! 

Christmas… but with a summer twist? Why not!

This is the first card in my Christmas in Summer series — a colourful, joyful design made using the beautiful Layering Robin stamp set by Hunkydory, and set against one of their vibrant coloured cardstock backgrounds.

I added soft dimension to the base using an embossing folder with a delicate swirl-and-snowflake pattern, which plays beautifully with the rainbow tones of the background. The focal point is, of course, the little stamped robin — perched among shimmer and texture — and the sentiment “MERRY Christmas from our home to yours”, also stamped and embossed for extra depth.

This card sets the tone for the whole collection: festive, fresh and full of emotion — even in July. I love starting a series with colour and confidence… and I hope you’ll enjoy the journey with me through all 11 cards created around two coordinating stamp sets.
