Sunday Scrap Therapy – A Burst of Color and Joy
Hi everyone,
There’s something magical about quiet Sunday afternoons spent at the craft table - just me, a cup of tea, and a desk full of possibilities. This weekend, I dove into some cheerful colors and playful florals, and the result is this vibrant handmade card that feels like a little dose of sunshine.
The background was created using a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide inks, blending warm yellows, pinks, and reds to set a dreamy tone. The focal point is a sweet little bird perched on a blooming branch, surrounded by hand-colored flowers and delicate leaves. A strip of black with a handwritten sentiment - “Wishing you a wonderful day” - adds contrast and charm. A few enamel dots finish it off with a pop of texture.
It’s amazing how a few scraps and a spark of inspiration can turn into something that makes you smile.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this card brings a little joy to your day - just as it did to mine while making it 💛
