Have a Blooming Lovely Day

Hi everyone!

Spring might feel far away, but that doesn't stop me from crafting with bright, cheerful florals! Today, I’m sharing a lovely card project featuring soft pastel hues, vibrant accents, and beautiful dimension. This card is perfect for sending a cheerful message to anyone who needs a little pick-me-up.

The focal point of this entire design is the beautiful array of flowers scattered across the panel. These little blooms have amazing depth and texture, which were created using one fantastic die set from Hunkydory Crafts: the Moonstone Dies - Dimensional Flowers - Border Panel. While designed to create a repeating floral border, I chose to cut the individual flowers and scatter them randomly across the card front. I used various shades of pink, coral, yellow, and turquoise cardstock to cut the flowers, then layered them to enhance the dimensionality. A small pop of yellow in the centre of each flower pulls the whole design together.

The soft blue-green wash on the background, along with the scattered dots of color, creates a playful, slightly whimsical look that lets the die-cut flowers truly shine. The bold, layered sentiment, "Have a blooming lovely day," perfectly captures the theme and adds a nice contrast to the soft background. Finally, the hand-drawn black border gives the whole card a polished, framed appearance.

This card proves how easily you can achieve a high-impact, dimensional look with just one versatile die set! I hope this project inspires you to look at your border dies in a new way!
