Tropical Stripes and Sunshine Blooms – Thinking of You Card
Hi everyone!
It's time for another bright and cheerful card project! I wanted to create something vibrant with a fresh, summer feel, so I paired bold blue stripes with sunny orange flowers. This "Thinking of You" card is perfect for sending a warm message no matter the season.
The background features striking horizontal stripes created with various shades of turquoise and blue, giving a wonderful watery effect. I added white paint splatters and clear drops to enhance the wet, refreshing look.
The corner floral cluster is the main focus, utilizing the versatile Moonstone Dies - Dimensional Flowers - Border Panel from Hunkydory Crafts. Just like the previous card, I cut and layered these dimensional flowers to create a gorgeous arrangement. I focused on vibrant oranges and yellows for the larger flowers and deep pinks and greens for the smaller accent florals.
To achieve that rich, intense color and smooth blending on the flowers themselves, I used Prism Inks. The inks allowed me to easily blend the yellows and oranges, giving the petals a lovely, natural gradient with a pop of dark color in the center. The bold, simple sentiment, "Thinking of You," ties the whole design together.
