Creating a Magical 3D Winter Wonderland: The Vintage Christmas Box Card

Hi everyone!

I am thrilled to share my newest project: a highly dimensional and beautifully intricate Vintage Christmas Box Card! I've always loved the idea of sending a tiny piece of festive magic in an envelope, and this Box Card achieves exactly that. It stands up beautifully on its own, showcasing a layered 3D winter village scene that truly pops.

This project was inspired by the cozy, rich illustrations found in the [Insert Paper Collection Name] paper collection. The beautiful snowy rooftops and classic red and green colors lent themselves perfectly to this vintage, deep-scene design. I aimed to make the red cottage the star, using foam squares of varying thickness to push the other houses and trees into the background, creating amazing perspective.

Quick Tip for Success: Precision in scoring the base is crucial for the Box Card structure to fold flat and pop up correctly. Take your time during the initial steps!

I hope this inspires you to try your hand at 3D card making this season. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this technique before!

Happy Crafting!
