Inky Wings & Textured Backgrounds

 Hi, my lovely crafters!

Today I’m sharing another project created with the beautiful Muse & Maker 2 release from Lisa Horton Crafts. This collection has been so inspiring to work with - the butterflies, hearts and backgrounds all have such lovely detail and character.

For this card, I focused on the butterfly designs and paired them with an inky, textured background. I created the base using the ink smooshing technique with Cloud 9 inks, letting the colours blend softly and naturally. Once everything was dry, I added a layer of texture with the Stencil Deck, which gives the background a gentle movement and depth.

The butterflies sit beautifully on top of these layers, and the sentiment strip adds a clean, simple finish. I love how the colours and textures come together in this piece - soft, colourful and full of energy.
