Smile card – Muse & Maker 2
Hello carfters!
Today I’m sharing another make peek from the Muse & Maker 2 release by Lisa Horton Crafts.
For this project, I went back to one of my favourite techniques - ink smooshing with Cloud 9 inks. I love how unpredictable and soft this technique can be. The colours blend in such a natural, organic way, and every background feels like a tiny piece of art on its own. Once the smooshed layers were dry, I added a bit of texture using the Stencil Deck, just enough to give the background some movement without overwhelming it.
The butterfly from the new Muse & Maker 2 stamp set is the perfect focal point for this kind of background. It sits beautifully on top of the inky layers, and the details in the wings really bring the whole card together. I finished everything off with a simple sentiment strip - clean, light and just right for this soft, colourful look.
It’s such a beautiful release, full of elements that work effortlessly together, and I can’t wait for you to see the full reveal.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
