Sweet Honey Bear – sunshine, honeycombs & a beary cute friend

Hello everyone! 

Today I’m sharing a card that instantly puts me in a good mood - warm colours, soft textures, and the sweetest little bear from the Beary Cute Bear Nature Outdoor Die Set by Polkadoodles. And the best part? This die set is currently on sale, so if you’ve been eyeing it, now’s the perfect moment to treat yourself.

I started by creating the background using the Honeycomb Drips Craft Stencil. I wanted something playful but still soft, so I blended Distress Oxide inks in warm yellows and gentle browns, adding a touch of blue to bring in a bit of sky-like freshness. Distress Oxides always give that velvety, dreamy finish - perfect for a nature-inspired scene.

The little bear is definitely the star here. I love how expressive he becomes once all the tiny die-cut pieces come together. With a bit of shading, he looks like he’s wandering through a sunny forest, happily discovering his favourite honey spot. The honeycomb pattern behind him ties everything together and adds that sweet, whimsical touch.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment “may your day be as fantastic as you!” — a small reminder that even simple moments can feel magical when wrapped in a bit of kindness and colour.

This project was pure joy to make - soft, cheerful, and full of that cosy Polkadoodles charm.
