Simple Tropical Card Idea with Embossed Background

Hello crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a light-hearted and tropical-themed card I created using the Cute & Cuddly Tropical Collection from Hunkydory. I absolutely love how sweet and cheeky this little sloth looks, just hanging around and spreading smiles!

For the background, I used a stencil from the same collection – not with ink this time, but as an embossing folder. I really like the texture it gave to the card; it adds just the right amount of interest without taking away from the main character.

The sloth image is coloured with water-based markers and paired with a bunch of tropical leaves, cut from matching dies and blended with shades of green and aqua. I arranged them along the side for a fun jungle effect.

The sentiment “Let’s hang out sometime” fits the mood perfectly – playful and relaxed, just like this little guy!
